Recipient Org: Description Established in 2011, the London Music Fund is an independent charity with the Mayor of London as Patron.We believe that if a child demonstrates significant musical ability, enthusiasm and commitment to learning an instrument, they should be given the opportunity to develop their potential regardless of their financial or social background. It is a major challenge to support the thousands of children from low income families who would like to progress on their instrument but we are making significant in-roads. Firstly, by awarding four-year Scholarships to primary school children who we identify as having musical potential but whose families cannot afford to pay for lessons post ?Äòfirst-access?Äô. We currently have 275 scholars across the 32 London boroughs.Secondly by supporting large-scale Partnerships across diverse genres which give young people the experience of learning from and performing alongside professional musicians.Both our Scholarships and Partnerships are delivered with
