Active Regen Community Foundation Ltd (360G-Coalfields-Regen-73-26323-2020-10-09)

The project will enable at least 60 older people living across the Coalfields priority areas in Rotherham to access free weekly health improvement sessions for those with physical and mental health conditions that have been exacerbated through the Covid-19 crisis. Each session will be 2 hours and delivered across five venues each week by sessional coaches for a period of 8 months. Each group will be supported by a volunteer community sports leader. The organisation will also work with carers and family members to help support the participants in building their confidence and to continue regular exercise as part of their daily routine. The primary location identified in the application where sessions will take place is Maltby Town Hall, Maltby, Rotherham. The Trust is being asked to fund sessional staff to deliver this project.
