It offers an alternative or sometimes a compliment to, talking therapies, where through participation in activity, working individually or in small groups people have time and space to recover. Most volunteers work in the field, growing, tending and harvesting up to 15 tonnes of organic crops, most of which are distributed through a Community Supported Agriculture veg box scheme to 100 local families, catering volunteers prepare a daily lunch with the surplus or spoiled crops. |
