Engage (360G-GLA-GROUP-VRU_0002-2023-06-01)

£400,000

The ENGAGE programme is a youth diversion project. It operates in three police BCU's for under 18s. VCS-employed youth workers talk to young people, offering support and advice while the young people are in custody suites. They use the "teachable moment" to intervene in a young person’s life and refer them into statutory services and voluntary and community organisations. The programme will be expanded into four additional custody suites during 2022/23.
