Parent Carer Champion Network (360G-GLA-GROUP-VRU_0007-2023-04-01)
A Pan-London approach in the development of parent/carer, peer support networks with the aim of training and upskilling parent/carers. Evidence shows that parent/carer support is crucial in supporting children and young people at risk of extra-familial harm, and mitigating risk factors for involvement with violent crime. A key pillar of the Violence Reduction Unit Strategy is therefore to support and enable parents and carers to nurture and protect children and young people. Boroughs across London have developed their individual and innovative programmes of delivery which the VRU plans to share through Good Practice Events.
