Recipient Org: Description | Creative Moments craft group is a group of 30 older adults who meet weekly to enjoy company, support and craft. As well as learning new skills, sharing existing ones with others and embarking on projects which provide a common focus and mutual interest, the group keenly support charities throughout the year by making crafts which are donated or sold to raise much needed funds for worthy causes. Over the last year group members have supported various individuals and charitable organisations working with vulnerable people including The Royal British Legion (raising £5,000), Lakeside play and stay group (making tote bags for the children), EXTEND (sports equipment), Good Hope hospital (dementia 'fiddle-cuffs'). |
