Recipient Org: Description Ryders Green purpose is to provide day care for older people in Sandwell and West Bromwich with an emphasis upon those who are lonely, disabled, on a low income, frail, housebound and in poor mental health. the aims a re to: I) combat loneliness and isolation by attending the Day Centre; 2) provide a nutritious meal in an environment where users feel confident to express themselves as individuals with support from staff and other attendees; 3) form part of a care package to enable the person to remain in their own home as long as they wish to do so. Objectives and priorities for 2018 are to: 1) Subsidise up to 10 places per week for people who would benefit from the service but no longer meet the criteria for funding by Social Services; 2) assist older people from families living in poverty by providing clothing, extra food and bedding.
