Recipient Org: Description | We are a pregnancy crisis and support centre offering life-changing emotional and practical support to anyone facing a pregnancy related challenge. Our services are largely a counselling service for those facing anxiety, depression, grief and other mental health challenges in and around pregnancy and pregnancy loss. This includes circumstances such as unplanned pregnancy, miscarriage, infertility, stillbirth and baby loss, postnatal depression. We also run a Baby Box project where we give Boxes that baby can sleep in to mums-to-be in need, we fill the boxes with essential items such as nappies, clothes, blankets etc to ensure the baby has everything that is needed for the first few weeks of life as well as a safe place to sleep. The boxes are British made, comply with all safety measures and come with a brand new mattress. We run two mother & baby charity shops which fund over 70% of our required income but we have had to close both shops due to the coronavirus outbreak and therefore have lost all our income. My team are keen to continue to offer counselling appointments via phone to those facing these difficult challenges but without an income from the shop we will be unable to do this, hence my application for support. |
