Recipient Org: Description Everything we fundraise for at the charity gives our patients and their loved ones a positive experience whilst in our care which goes beyond the remit of the NHS and statutory funding. Our NHS Trust provides acute healthcare services to around 600,000 patients in Hertfordshire. We raise funds for the 4 hospitals in the Trust to purchase advanced high quality technology and equipment, to provide funding to our staff to undertake leading edge research and fund volunteer led initiatives which enhance the care for our patients care for our patients and their families. We fundraise for at least 16 projects per year between £5000- £200,000, in 2019-20 this has included a family room for our Neonatal unit £340,000 [we're still fundraising for this £60,000 shortfall], Hertford Hospital X ray machine £194,748, Interactive flooring for our children's ward at the Lister £21,000, Scalp coolers for our MacMillan centres £39,000 and an ultra sound machine. Unlike some charities we do not fundraise for one service, but several across our 4 sites in Hertfordshire, our fundraising benefits our communities from pre birth to bereavement and everything in between. The direct beneficiaries change each year as we raise funds for different projects and services.
