Recipient Org: Description The Daylight Club is a social club for adults of working age with physical and other disabilities who live in the St Albans District. Originally set up by the members twenty five years ago, the members have influence in shaping activities and in helping in operational aspects. The Club provides a safe space for members to meet socially once a week during the day to learn new skills, cultivate friendships, promote independence and have fun. Our mission is to improve the lives of people with disabilities with a particular emphasis on providing social activities and promoting community involvement. A key aim is that we are an inclusive group whether by ability (we encompass multi disabilities - physical, sensory, learning, emotional and communication) or sex (very unusually almost half of our members are males aged between early 20's to mid 70's).
