Funding will expand the 'No Matter What' project, a well-established service offering welfare rights advice and personalised support to older people, particularly those from racially marginalised communities in Southwark. With a focus on cultural responsiveness and accessibility, the project aims to increase its reach from 500 to 1,200 individuals annually by providing more in-person casework sessions in SPC's community hub and in 10 community locations across Southwark, as well as providing home visits and telephone support. This project will fund more hours for two exisiting experienced advisers and support the growth of the advocacy volunteer team to provide one-to-one advice on benefits, debt, and financial resilience, addressing both systemic exclusion and practical barriers such as language, mobility, and digital access.
