Lancashire Women's Independent Age project (360G-IndAge-GPR-00000071)

£150,000

Funding will help expand Lancashire Women's Handywoman and Money and Energy Advice service into Blackpool and Wyre to support older women, particularly private renters, facing financial hardship. Trained handywomen will provide home visits to install energy-saving measures, offer benefits and money advice, and carry out minor repairs. A Community Champion will connect clients to local services, including housing, safety, and health support. The project aims to improve financial resilience, housing conditions, and wellbeing through home visits, advice sessions, and outreach events. Delivery will be phased, ensuring inclusive, trauma-informed support tailored to older women?s needs.
