Independent Living in Later Life: Financial Wellbeing and Housing Support (360G-IndAge-GPR-00000072)

Funding to employ a full-time Later Life Adviser to support older people (65+) in coastal Denbighshire facing financial hardship. The adviser will provide tailored advice through weekly drop-ins, monthly outreach sessions, home visits, and group workshops on benefits, budgeting, digital inclusion, and energy efficiency. Support will include housing advice for private renters, tenancy rights, adaptations, and eviction prevention. The project will coordinate referrals with local partners and recruit volunteer champions to strengthen peer support. Services will be bilingual and trauma-informed, ensuring isolated older people can access income, reduce costs, and maintain housing stability with dignity and independence.
