Advising Torbay (360G-IndAge-GPR-00000073)

Funding to support a Windmill Torbay and Torbay Advice Network partnership to increase cross-team capacity to deliver a person-centred support package to increase income, reduce costs, and promote independence for older people in Torbay. Services will include benefits advice, appeals support, housing and council tax assistance, energy-saving guidance, and access to grants for home adaptations. Delivery will combine remote support, in-person appointments at Windmill Torbay, home visits, and monthly outreach sessions in high-need areas. Three advisers will provide tiered support, from general advice to complex casework, including tribunal representation. Quarterly workshops will cover energy and money-saving tips. The project aims to remove barriers to access and improve financial security and wellbeing.
