Silver Housing Support (360G-IndAge-GPR-00000074)

Funding will support a partnership between Age UK Torbay and Citizen's Advice Torbay for a dedicated role at Age UK Torbay to provide housing support for people over 65, addressing issues such as unsuitable housing, evictions, landlord disputes, and poor living conditions. The role will assist with benefit claims, eviction processes, securing new accommodation, arranging moves, and setting up utilities. Support will include practical help, financial advice, and referrals to wellbeing services. Delivery will be primarily through home visits and community venues, ensuring accessibility. The project will work in partnership with Citizens Advice Torbay to provide housing advocacy, income maximisation, and debt support, increasing capacity to meet growing demand and prevent homelessness.
