Recipient Org: Description We provide accommodation and dedicated support to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness. We have been working in Leicester and Leicestershire for over 50 years and have helped thousands of individuals during this time. Each year we provide approximately 500 people with somewhere safe to live and provide practical and emotional help to assist them in securing a more permanent home. Demand for our services has risen sharply during the past 2 years. We currently receive between 3 and 6 referrals for every vacancy that we have. On any given night, we have 230 people living in our accommodation. Our vision is to bring an end to homelessness meaning no one has to sleep rough on the streets of Leicestershire, and our mission is to break the cycle of homelessness, ensuring those who have a chronic history of homelessness can find a home and are supported to keep it. Three pillars underpin all of the work that we do; providing housing with flexible, accessible and inclusive accommodation, providing high quality and personalised support, and empowering people to make meaningful connections and relationships. As an organisation, we make every effort to inform, influence and advocate to create systems change.
