Recipient Org: Description Crossroads Derbyshire is a rural domestic abuse service supporting individuals across the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales. Founded in 1979, our aims are to support anyone experiencing domestic abuse by helping them to escape, recover from the impact of abuse and to build a safe future for themselves and their families. Our services include outreach, counselling and refuge for adults and children experiencing abuse. We also offer a stalking advocacy service, work with perpetrators of abuse and preventative work for young people aged 11-19. Since 2013, our refuge (Harmony Project) has specialised in supporting young women aged 16-24, the age group most vulnerable to domestic and sexual abuse, often targeted through social media and coercive relationships. The Harmony Project offers safe accommodation and intensive support to young women and their children who are homeless due to abuse, exploitation, or forced marriage. By addressing abuse at an earlier stage, we aim to protect young women from future harm and help them build brighter, safer futures. We are passionate about what we do and aim to ensure that anyone affected by domestic abuse is able to access support. Over the past year we have supported over 850 individuals across these services.
