Recipient Org: Description Waterfront Sports and Education Academy (WSEA) is a registered charity and community-based organisation dedicated to improving the lives of young people and local residents through accessible sport, education, and creative programmes. Based in a multi-use community venue, WSEA delivers inclusive, high-impact activities that divert individuals away from unhealthy or negative lifestyles while promoting wellbeing, personal development, and positive social change. Our core social aims are to: • Engage underrepresented and disadvantaged young people in positive activities • Improve mental and physical health outcomes • Combat social exclusion and anti-social behaviour • Support personal growth, education, and self-confidence through structured programmes We predominantly work with young people and communities from lower socio-economic backgrounds, with a strong focus on individuals from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic groups. At Waterfront address key social issues including physical inactivity, mental health challenges, loneliness and anti-social behaviour, while promoting self-identity, confidence, and community cohesion. Our work is rooted in empowerment, inclusion, and long-term positive impact.
