Recipient Org: Description We work with local people experiencing significant disadvantage, particularly through learning disabilities and autism, to be more independent and enjoy life in the ways they choose. Breaking down barriers, social misconceptions and working alongside people to achieve their full potential. We are committed to offering innovative person-centred support to ensure each individual's needs are met and promoting the development of personal and social skills essential for being socially active and success in employment goal activities and beyond. Nearly 400 members (anyone who engages with us), staff and volunteers were involved in nearly 25,000 hours of support across our services last year. Including; *Outreach- providing 45 vulnerable young people and adults with 121 support. From bringing brothers together for Christmas lunch to navigating the benefits system *Social groups - Coming together as peers in 6 groups meeting weekly. Members plan and take part in social activities whilst, forming friendships and developing personal and social skills *Volunteering - from short skills development workshops to long term volunteer opportunities increasing confidence and transferable skills *Adult learning - termly courses promoting individual achievements through subjects of interests *Employment readiness - Preparation for work courses and job clubs that include 121 job coaching
