Recipient Org: Description Carers Leeds aims to improve access to information and support to the estimated 75,000 adult carers in Leeds by increasing carer awareness, identification and referrals to our service. The organisation provides information, advice and support to unpaid carers across Leeds and we have a database of about 15,000 carers. Our services include 1-1 support which may be face-to-face, telephone or virtual, support groups which may be face-to-face or virtual, education and training, social activities, befriending and health and wellbeing activities. We provide advice on welfare benefits, access to grants, information about respite and short breaks, emotional support and accessing a Carers Assessment. We produce regular newsletters and e-bulletins ad events are also publicised on our website. Our Advice Line is operational Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm and is staffed by Carer Support workers. We work closely with our partners in health, social care and the third sector and also have strong links with the private sector through our Working Carers Project and Employers Forum.
