Recipient Org: Description Involve Leeds is a high quality nuturing alternative education provider for KS3 students at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream school, or those who face challenges which impact on their education. We aim to educate disaffected young people and build their confidence and self esteem to support them in the next education setting. Most of our young people experiences educational and social exclusion and high levels of deprivation and we aim, through our work to enable them to be successful and to make positive contributions to their communities. We also open the centre for after school groups, targeted youth work and refugee community groups. During Covid we have been one of the council's community hubs and our young people have been involved in making up food parcels and in making meals for other vulnerable members of the community. We are developing resources outside of school hours to become a community base for Hunslet.
