Recipient Org: Description Friends of Silsden Town Hall are a charity set up to benefit the residents of Silsden in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions for life for the residents. We are a community hub which houses 23 local enterprises who provide sporting, fitness, social and educational services. We run events for people from all parts of our diverse area encouraging integration and friendship. We run spring and Christmas Fairs, festivals, live music events, science and literacy fairs every year and evening events regularly reach capacity. We know our building is well used and highly regarded by the local community. We house the local library and the only public toilets in a town of over 8000 people and rising.
