Recipient Org: Description BYO is a lively youth led community rooted charity, established in 1982 with the aims of acting as a resource for the local community, children and young people, advancing education, relieving unemployment, provide recreational and leisure time activities in interest of social welfare. We are passionate about the young people and the community we serve and are currently delivering the following frontline projects: (1) Youth in Common – community cohesion project, bringing our diverse young people together. (2) Hope & Revive – partnership response to mitigating the disproportionate effects of the Coronavirus on local community. (3) Extended study support sessions and holiday hunger food programme – to raise educational attainment of local children and young people. (4) JUMP – active healthy play sessions for young children and mums. (5) Weekends sports and sessions, and (6) Play Scheme - fun packed educational holiday provision, engaging 80 plus children every year. BYO is an INCLUSIVE provision working with residents and young people from all backgrounds and our services and activities are NOT restricted to the Bangladeshi Community. Please note that some of our projects are on restricted delivery with Covid 19 restrictions.
