Recipient Org: Description Our vision is to support anybody who is affected by self-harm (“s/h”) and make sure they no longer feel alone. As the only organisation in the country offering online and F2F support to those affected by s/h irrelevant of age and gender, we talk openly and honestly about s/h to break down the stigma and ensure people who s/h can seek support and are treated with respect and without judgement. All staff and volunteers have lived experience of s/h according to our definition which includes external, internal and psychological s/h, from scratching, cutting and overdosing to eating disorders, self-neglect and compulsive negative thinking. We always work collaboratively with our service users, volunteers, members and other stakeholders to develop services and resources. Active services: Virtual adult peer support groups Virtual peer support group for parents/family Virtual peer support group for “inbetweeners” (managing s/h well) Virtual training for professionals – Q&A s/h or ED Virtual training for professionals – 1-day workshop s/h Facebook peer support group (all ages) Virtual 2-hour workshop delivered via the Recovery Colleges Website resources Printed resources 12-step addiction programme Our face-to-face (F2F) services are temporarily suspended due to COVID-19: F2F adult peer support groups F2F training for professionals – 1-day workshop s/h or eating disorders (ED) incl. in-house F2F training for professionals – Q&A s/h or ED (in-house) 2-hour workshop delivered via the Recovery Colleges 2-hour workshops for young people in schools School assemblies on s/h or ED Once restrictions lift, F2F and virtual services will run concurrently
