Recipient Org: Description 16-2-25 advice service was set up in 2008 as a social enterprise, receiving charitable status four years later. We run an independent young peoples advice service, dealing mainly with housing, homelessness and welfare benefits. The service is open door policy, drop in service, the client just has to be in our age group. All work is case work and we asses clients for all needs then help set up relevant benefit claims and undertake appeals to lower tribunal level where appropriate, we refer to supported housing schemes as well as advising on applications to the local authority for homeless issues, we refer to relevant agencies such as counselling, metal health and substance misuse services. While staying independent we have worked in partnership with Bradford youth service since starting and have 14 years experience of advising young people and we have built up an excellent network of services relevant to young people
