Recipient Org: Description LS-TEN is a new charity aiming to provide a safe, engaging and inclusive environment, reducing inequality and raising aspirations using sport & education. We deliver community sport projects across Leeds, inspiring young people to lead a healthy andactive lifestyles while challenging the misconceptions that some members of thecommunity may have of skatepark culture. Through our funded community projects and daily skatepark activities, we aim to provide young people with alternative sports that can become a longstanding and positive influence in their lives. More than just a Skatepark, LS-TEN is also home to an Alternative Provision providing a vital service to KS2, KS3 and KS4 pupils from across Leeds. Their core subjects are combined with daily Skatepark Sessions, providing an opportunity for these hard to reach young people to immerse themselves in a fun and engaging physical activity where success is measured in the building of their own confidence and self esteem. We live our values at LS-TEN every day ensuring we are Accountable, Brave, Caring, Resilient and Relentlessly Positive. Through these values we aim to promote equality and diversity while offering unique opportunities for young people in Leeds to be individuals and to try new and exciting activities.
