Recipient Org: Description CATCH is a volunteer led charity founded by passionate, like-minded individuals with a common goal of creating a safe space for young people, to help develop their confidence and skills and support their needs. Our approach is organic whilst keeping our vision at the heart of everything we do, we love to explore new opportunities to develop activities and projects, which are effective and ultimately benefit children and young people and the wider community of Leeds. We believe in challenging status quo, processes and structures, to ensure that we are striving to create better futures and the best chances for young people. This means we do things differently, we innovate, collaborate and push boundaries to make a positive difference. Our Youth Programme reaches over 1,000 young people each year, with our doors being open 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Centre based play and youth work, sports, arts, music, dance, multi-media and outreach work into the community help to inspire, empower and build confidence and resilience in young people who attend. We work in collaboration with schools and partner organisations and have a proven track record in supporting some of the most vulnerable and complex young people. Underpinning all of the work we do is our team of volunteers. CATCH is a 97% volunteer led organisation, and we allow young people from the age of 11 years old to start volunteering with us with the aim to encourage them to reach their full potential and develop their talents.
