Recipient Org: Description The Conservation Volunteers at Skelton Grange connects, protect and restore both people and nature, with life changing impact on health, employability, communities and their environment. We established our community centre and nature area in 1992, in the heart of one of the most disadvantaged socio-economic parts of Leeds that has little safe, accessible natural space. We work primarily in East and South Leeds where we are based, raising funds locally to support the health, wellbeing, learning & skills of targeted groups facing multiple challenges. Skelton is a local office of a national charity, so contributes to, and shares essential support services like health & safety, safeguarding, insurance, HR and financial management. This ensures good value, and we are committed to share our experience and resources with local partners. Skelton fundraises independently and exclusively supports the Leeds community, so we have provided our local financial and people data with this application.
