Recipient Org: Description CATCH is a volunteer-led charity dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment where young people can build confidence, develop skills, and thrive. Guided by our vision, we take an innovative, collaborative approach to delivering impactful programmes that benefit children, young people, and the wider Leeds community. Our Youth Programme engages over 1,000 young people annually, with our doors open 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. We offer a wide range of activities, including play and youth work, sports, arts, music, dance, multimedia, construction, animal care, food growing, and workshops designed to foster personal growth and positive behaviours. Our community outreach inspires and empowers young people, building their confidence and resilience. CATCH has a proven track record of supporting vulnerable and complex young people through partnerships with schools and public, private, and charitable organisations. This includes our Restore programme, which helps secondary school students address educational, behavioural, and social challenges, enabling a sustainable return to mainstream education. Volunteers are the backbone of CATCH, with 97% of our work delivered by dedicated individuals, including young people aged 9 and older. By engaging volunteers, we encourage young people to reach their potential and develop valuable skills. CATCH’s impact is widely recognised, and we are frequently showcased by stakeholders as a model for youth innovation, hosting regional, national, and international delegations eager to learn from our success. Together, we create opportunities and transform lives, fostering a stronger, more cohesive community.
