Recipient Org: Description Leeds Gypsy and Traveller Exchange are a vibrant and brave grassroots organisation led by Gypsy and Traveller people. We work to address the issues affecting our homes, health, education and social inclusion. We provide holistic and person centred support via advocacy around accommodation, welfare rights, health, education and employment. We provide 121 mental health support service as well as other specialist projects such as hate crime, criminal justice, domestic violence. We run community hub's across West Yorkshire but specifically in Leeds in LS9 from which we run a number of groups and services including a care of post service providing a postal address for over 200 families without stable accommodation. Our youth and education team provide activities, learning and resources to families including homework clubs, adult literacy classes, community groups & events (delivered Healthy Holidays for the past 2 years). We deliver weekly youth groups for boys and girls, yearly residentials and provide 1-2-1 mentoring with our most vulnerable and at risk young people. We run community action groups & residents meetings helping members to come together and make change in their communities
