Enabling safe work for essential workers during extreme weather events: living evidence maps to inform effective policy and infrastructure (360G-LloydsRegisterFdn-G2-100027)

£239,356

Essential (frontline) workers are crucial to the safety, health and wellbeing of communities during extreme weather events and in the recovery afterwards. This project will find and map globally what is known about how extreme weather events impact the health, safety and function of essential workers and how to best prevent and manage these. The maps will be developed with an international expert group and informed by global essential workers, providing living evidence (updated when new information available) that will be usable by governments, industries, employers, workers, community leaders and members and highlighting gaps for future research prioritisation.
