Recipient Org: Description | We are a small village school with 100 children, 25% from the village and the rest from surrounding areas. We cater for children from the ages of 4 years to 11 years. Our aim is to provide a broad balanced curriculum for all children of all ages and abilities. We offer our children 4-6 years a curriculum that is based inside and outdoors to ensure it's inclusive for all children. We encourage our children to experience learning in a natural environment. We offer a lot of physical education to show the importance of healthy lifestyles. We also look to teach our children through technology. Teaching them internet risks as well as opportunities helps to develop their skills and prepare them for the modern world. It is extremely beneficial for children to learn to type, email and access the internet to develop their skills for future opportunities. The internet allows us to teach the children about the past and show them real life films and pictures to help them understand the world. We balance this learning with real life experiences, teaching children to learn life skills as well as learning through play. We support our disadvantaged children by ensuring they have the same opportunities as their peers. We provide hands on experiences that help all children to learn and build memories. |
