Recipient Org: Description Linwood Community Co-operative is a volunteer-led organisation based in Kingswood, Corby, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents through inclusive, community-focused initiatives. Working in partnership with statutory agencies and third-sector organisations, Linwood delivers targeted support to vulnerable groups, including children, young people, older adults, and individuals with disabilities. Operating from a multifunctional neighbourhood centre, the organisation provides a wide range of accessible services, including a community café, a youth club, and a large sports hall offering recreational and physical activities. As the lead partner in the Kingswood Urban Development Project, Linwood is currently delivering a comprehensive programme of inclusive activities for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This includes tailored sessions such as adaptive archery, music and creative arts workshops, inclusive multi-sport events, and sensory-friendly inflatable play. These initiatives are designed to foster confidence, creativity, and social connection in a safe and supportive environment. Linwood’s work is underpinned by a strong commitment to inclusion, ensuring that all services are welcoming, responsive, and reflective of the community’s diverse needs.
