Wigan Council Have Been Awarded A Grant To Employ A Group Of Actors To Carry Out Drama Workshops In A Number Of Schools In The Area. Local Elderly Residents Will Also Be Invited To Attend. The Actors Will Carry Out A Performance Relating To Ww2. They Will Then Undertake Interactive Workshops With The Children And The Elderly. These Workshops Will Be Videoed And Also Personal Diaries Of The Elderly Residents Experiences Will Be Recorded. The Workshops Will End With A Joint Celebration That Will Be Attended By All Of The Schools And Elderly Residents Involved With The Project.
