Grant to 18TH Bromley (St Mary's) Scout Group (360G-NLHF-AHF/1/010157637)

The 18th Bromley Scout Group Will Use A Grant To Undertake A Series Of Events To Celebrate/Commemorate Ve/Vj Day And The Part Played By The Local Area During The War. The Focal Point Of This Programme Will Be A Celebratory Meal That Will Bring Together Veterans With Members Of The Scout Group And Various Other Young People. A More Long-Term Scheme Will Also Be Undertaken To Promote A Greater Awareness Of The Contribution Made By The Home Front- Particularly Through The Cultivation Of A 'Dig For Victory' Style Garden With Various Produce. As Many Of The Veterans Have Limited Mobility, Improved Accessibility Will Be A Central Feature Of This Project.
