The Eden Valley Museum Trust Will Use A Grant To Organise A Project Entitled 'Doing Our Bit' That Seeks To Cover A Number Of Aspects Of The Contribution Made By The Community Of Eden To The War Effort. This Exhibition Will Include Memorabilia, Photographs And First Hand Accounts Of What It Was Like To Live Through The War, Particularly In Relation To Civil Defence, Military Service And Civilian Life. The Project Also Aims To Build A Strong Link Between Veterans And Local School Children To Foster A Greater Awareness Of How The Area Was Affected By The War.
