Ballymena Borough Council Will Use A Grant To Organise A Living History Event To Mark The 60th Anniversary Of The End Of Ww2. Under The Title Of 'Step Back To Ballymena 1945', The Event Aims To Raise Awareness Within The Local Community Of The Regions Contribution To The War Effort And Instigate A Greater Degree Of Inter-Generational Communication. It Will Feature A Local Re-Enactment Group And Involve The Use Of Vintage Military Vehicles Alongside Period Music And Displays Of Memorabilia.
