Newmilns Mulitmedia Heritage Project and Trail (360G-NLHF-HA-23-00038)

We would like to produce a digital heritage app which will feature 3 trails celebrating Newmilns and Greenholm's football, built and social heritage. It will include gamification, points of interest, videos, pictures and sound clips to give a truly interactive experience. To compliment this digital element we would like to produce physical flyers to be kept in local businesses and our own hub. Alongside, a learning booklet, similar to that designed by Joe Gallagher and Graham Boyd for Kilmarnock and Galston. We will also be implementing signage to highlight the town's heritage. And seek to conserve a number of locally significant historic objects Additionally, we will implement signage to highlight in person the points of interest, as we find key places, events and people are not evident within the town. Lastly, there will be murals commissioned by a local artist to celebrate the town's lace heritage, and provide further engagement.
