#COED6 Glan Faenol : Ymestyn Gwreiddiau - Spreading Roots (360G-NLHF-HA-25-00760)

National Trust Cymru’s (NTC) vision is that Glan Faenol is a healthy woodland rich in wildlife, where rare and endemic species thrive, and local people feel welcome and involved. Despite its picturesque setting on the banks of the Menai Straits, poor or limited access prevents some visitors and communities enjoying the site. This project will create over 1,300 metres of new and improved paths, making it easier and safer to explore and discover the hidden treasures within. We will upgrade our workshop space to include tool storage and lighting and an outdoor classroom for local schools. The enhanced facility will help us to recruit more volunteers and enable us to run more woodland skills activities, like woodworking, coppicing and seed collecting. Together these enhancements will support Glan Faenol’s aim to become part of the National Forest for Wales and a place where nature and people grow together.
