Recipient Org: Description The aims and objectives of the Windmill Thursday Club is to provide day care and social contact for older, frail, isolated, and disabled people living in Deddington and surrounding area. Our clients meet up with others who cannot easily get out of their own homes, some are old friends, others they have come to know through coming to the Windmill Thursday Club. This also extends to the staff and volunteers, most of whom have been involved in the running and support of this organisation for many years. This is a very lively group that enjoys a challenging word quiz, a wide variety of activities, a source of information and education, a freshly prepared cooked meal, afternoon tea, lively conversations, visiting speakers, quizzes, theme days, discussions over current affairs and lots of laughter. There are occasional outings organised and a shopping service. This is somewhere our clients can share their worries or concerns and appropriate help can be identified.
