Recipient Org: Description We aim to reduce isolation and depression caused by language and cultural barriers, and to promote health and independence amongst older people and carers by increasing their participation in community life and improving their access to social and health care services. We organise recreational activities and health talks, in order to promote healthy living and to defer or prevent the onset of disabling conditions in older Chinese people. The Centre also provide language support, befriending and signposting. We have hot lunches provided for both sessions on Mondays and Thursdays, card games, karaoke and table tennis etc also available.
