Our strength is organising events to bring the communities of Oxford together, and these are a testimony to our success in bringing together people of all/any ethnicity, faith, gender and age, promoting understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures in Oxfordshire. This has included the Syrian, Nepalese, Filipino & Muslim communities. The yearly Oxford Mela, has been run in partnership with other mainstream agencies, ie Oxford City Council, Education providers, NHS, Health & Wellbeing providers and other charities. Our events have provided businesses, organisations & charities opportunities to interact with social groups directly & to promote their activities in friendly settings where people are receptive to information. We have worked on the following projects with the museums in Oxfordshire: * One World Festival @ the Ashmolean Museum * 'The Indian Army in the First World War: An Oxfordshire Perspective’ @ The Oxfordshire Museum * The Museum of Oxford “A Journey with Oxford’s Hindu Community” in the exhibition of the 800-year of statue of Lord Ganesha – see https://blog.britishmuseum.org/a-journey-with-oxfords-hindu-community/ * Presentations and seminars on Hinduism in schools
