Recipient Org: Description Bridewell is an Oxfordshire charity providing a mental health recovery service to adults in the living in the county, using social and therapeutic horticulture in a working garden. Our goal is to help people into employment, voluntary roles or other meaningful activity in the wider community. Based at our walled garden and vineyard site near Witney, we provide a supportive yet work-like setting where service users can participate in a wide range of horticultural and rural craft activities. Working together in teams on activities from which they can derive a sense of purpose and achievement boosts their self-esteem and self-confidence. People referred to Bridewell come once or twice per week for as little as a few months up to around two years.
