Family Triathlon 2019 (360G-OCF-A513094)

We are applying for a grant towards costs of putting on our second family triathlon event in 2019 for 250 families with young children. This event is quite unique as families with under 5's can take part. It encourages families to take part together as a team and is not competitive so is inclusive. The triathlon will promote family health and wellbeing alongside promoting community cohesion, the family room and local park and swimming pool facilities. We are seeking funding to cover costs for Insurance, First Aiders and park fees plus 10 hours of administration time for the project co-ordinator as this support is in addition to her usual role. On 1st July 2018, our first community family triathlon was very successful with over 130 parents and children taking part, raising over £6000 before costs of putting on the event. Running the event incurs necessary costs such as insurance, first-aiders, park hire & publicity and we would like 100% of participant's sponsorship to go towards funding the work of the family room, the 2019 event will be for 250 families.
