Recipient Org: Description To provide support, advice, information, guidance and counselling to vulnerable young people aged 13 - 25 who find themselves in challenging circumstances. This is achieved by: 1. Generating income from charitable trusts; national funding bodies; local businesses, churches, schools and voluntary organisations; individual donations and fund raising activities. 2. Raising levels of awareness amongst the local community and young people in particular so that they know about the work of The Abingdon Bridge and the success we have in transforming the lives of disaffected young people many of whom have a perception of very low self esteem and low self worth. 3. Provide 1:1 and group counselling sessions based on an assessment of individual need. 4. Organise a healthy lifestyle programme for young people who are heavily involved in alcohol abuse; substance abuse; self harm; or various levels of anti social behaviour 5. Provide sessions in local secondary schools which support all young people with stress management. 6. Support young people who may be suffering from the impact of domestic abuse or unrest which is having an impact on their mental health and wellbeing. 7. Working in partnership with the Street Pastors.
