Recipient Org: Description OSARCC provides free and confidential support to those affected by rape and sexual abuse. Our vision is for everyone to be free from the fear, experience and stigma of sexual violence and supported when it does occur. Our mission is to support survivors of sexual violence, promote and advocate for their needs and work towards the elimination of sexual violence. Our aims include providing a diverse range of effective services; raising awareness of sexual violence and the needs for specialist support; and influencing public attitudes. We provide counselling, support groups, drop-in sessions, advocacy, and listening services (email, phone and text). We also have a young women and girls' project (Support, Empower, Educate) which includes one to one counselling and empowerment support to young women and girls aged 14 to 18 who have experienced sexual violence; and consent workshops delivered in schools to all genders. We also provide training on sexual violence awareness to professionals in a range of settings. We have been working with and supporting survivors for over 40 years.
