High Sherriff Programme (360G-OCF-A609316)

This funding will be used to "merge" the work and resources of Access Sports- a national charity currently operating in the City- and Active Oxfordshire who have been chosen as one of the High Sherriff's charities in 2022. This funding will be used to provide a business case to Trustees/Mark Beard that will support a transition initially and then underpin a three year development programme designed to focus on young people suffering form disadvantage across the County. This development work will be shaped by our Active Ambassadors(a cohort of 20 people with lived experience), by the knowledge of Access Sports, by working with partners as we have done through the Tackling Inequalities Fund over the last 15 months and by the ambitions and aspirations of Mark Beard himself. Our approach can be set out in more detail but needs to be co-designed and co-produced so it meets local needs and can be promoted to the business and corporate sectors as part of a financial model that is being worked up.
