| Recipient Org: Description | The Story Museum exists to enrich lives, especially young lives, through stories. We achieve this from our most unusual Museum in Oxford where we share great stories in great ways. This includes an imaginative programme of permanent and temporary exhibitions, performances, interactive workshops, skills building courses and online engagement. Alongside this public programme, we offer free-to-access targeted creative learning opportunities that harness the power of stories to make positive changes for people. This includes partnership projects, bursary places on skills courses, sustained interventions in schools and large-scale participatory events. We invite artists to create new stories through commissions and residencies, often with young people. We are currently focused on using stories to support the wellbeing of children and families who were most seriously impacted by the pandemic, and building on our longstanding commitment to consultation, to ensure inclusion and diversity sit at the heart of our programme. |
