| Recipient Org: Description | The Berin Centre has served the Berinsfield community for over 40 years; first as an employment support service, then stepping into the gap left by children's centre closures in 2017, and now providing holistic support and activities for the community. Our core work is based in three areas: Groups and activities for children and families, from our pioneering Growing Minds school readiness programme, to Family Links parenting courses and a range of supported play sessions. Community Outreach services, including adult learning, community gardening, 1-1 support, and connecting to other specialist services. Food services, including a weekly Community Larder, a Food Bank, and further activities planned for 2025. We host outside services like counselling and Citizen’s Advice to enable better ease of access. Overall, we exist to serve the evolving needs of Berinsfield and the surrounding villages; remaining responsive and agile in providing a broad and welcoming range of services. |
