| Recipient Org: Description | We are a men's mental health and suicide preventions service. We combine professional support workers, with environments designed to be comfortable for men to talk in. We do this by using free transport, free exercise sessions and free haircuts. These are all great spaces for natural conversations. We have ensured our service is in line with local suicide prevention strategy and it has met with approval form the nurse consultant for suicide prevention in Oxfordshire. Our main target beneficiaries are Men in the Didcot area, who are having suicidal thoughts or struggling with their mental health. The community of Didcot will benefit indirectly as poor mental health in men creates many social problems. We aim to benefit the whole community with our interventions, as well the emergency services, health service and to be another source of support for services in voluntary sector. |
